Hi, I’m Anna. I’ve been on the writeblr side of tumblr since June last year, and I figured- new year, about time for a new intro. I’ll be doing new WIP and character intros as well very soon.

• I like to write big casts, with lots of diversity
• My characters tend to be very aro/ace coded and adhd/autism coded because I like to project onto my characters a little bit too much
• been dreaming up little worlds with little characters in my head since i was little, started writing fanfic at 12, and finally started to draft out my ideas last year
• I love love love fantasy and sci-fi, especially the more high stuff, but i like low/urban fantasy and sci-fi. more realistic fiction isn’t really my cup of tea, if there’s no fantasy or sci-fi elements it doesn’t do it for me

My dark fantasy, 9 book series of very queer retellings. Including people of color, mentally and physically disabled, and many flavors of queer representation. Themes include trauma and how we deal with it, and tropes include magic that can kill you, chaotic found family, and ‘i would kill for you’ romances. And it’s possibly going to have a prequel series about my thousand year old wizard who is an AuDHDer and a burntout gifted kid and how she got to where she is in the series.

My low fantasy, 5 book series about a bunch of chaotic teenage superheroes. More people of color, physically and mentally disabled, Jewish and Muslim, and lots of different queer representaion . Themes include forgiveness, are you the hero of the villain, and tropes include domesticity between the action, teenagers being teenagers, and the checkov’s civilian.

Galaxy Destroyer

Previously known as Before the Stars Burn Out, this is my high sci-fi book series about a bunch of morally gray criminals and the “i tried to kill you” to found family pipeline. Like my other wips, lots of representation, including people of color, disabilites of both the physical and mental, and different kinds of queer representation. Themes include what really defines good vs bad, what to do when the system is broken and the two solutions you are presented with suck, and tropes include space criminals accidentally adopting a baby, humans being space orcs, and cool laser gun battles in space. Not sure if it’s going to be a trilogy or duology yet.

unnamed witchy wip

a one-eyed (and it’s actually disabling) aroace witch. her two familiars, a white cat and blue crow. on the run from a cult of witch hunters that are taking control of the realm by storm. she befriends an undercover witch hunter, no knowing his identity. the witch hunter has an arc with their faith crisis and getting a redemption arc where they end up saving their new friend the witch. Themes include the abuse of religion and finding friendship (but on a very personal level), and tropes include snarky familiars, very personal stakes for the characters, and platonic soulmates. Probably going to be a standalone.

it’s a baby wip that I don’t much on yet. All I know is that it’s going to be about one of the vestal virgins in Ancient Rome actually making contact with Vesta (the roman version of Hestia), they become besties and end up protecting each other both from the human and mythological. Also I’m going to get dragons in there somehow. much platonic soulmates <3. Probably going to be a standalone as well.

the current map for all of Valloroth! it's very much a living thing, but I like how it looks for now.

made in Azgaars Fantasy Map Generator, which invented all the distances for me, so all I had to do was measure them and work out how long it takes my collection of weirdos to get from one place to another.

i also have a version of it in my obsidian notes, so I can (eventually) link all my world notes to it, cause i think that'll be neat

some fun notes, to give a smidge of context to some of these places:

• Zander is from Invereid
• Aliyne & Vren are from Mohaade, originally from a small town near the border mountains of the Wilds
• Leshanna was born in Osevia, but grew up in Oraladhel, and attended the very prestigious university in the capital, Cyvanil
• Voi'xindiiri is where Sorrow's main Vallorosian contacts are
• Iaseri is a dracari enclave, though it's mostly in the capital of Voah'kasis, which is a floating city
• Ashen-rir is the first (only) above-ground dark elf-founded state
• Fygek is the goblin homeland, and it's largely closed off to outsiders
• The Wilds used to be the main seat of the Draconic Empire, until Ruvosha the Green (one of the Original Dragons) destroyed it and raised the mountains that now block the Wilds from the rest of the world

a little more information regarding the maui wildfires:

• medical workers on the ground are describing finding hundreds of bodies. the current death toll in the media is, unfortunately, only a fraction of the reality
• hospital workers are describing injuries and trauma as if survivors had come out of a warzone
• thousands are still missing
• an apartment complex for the elderly was lost. not everyone could get out. people were saying goodbye to loved ones over the phone
• people who did get out of lahaina were leaving with ashes covering their faces and nothing but the clothes on their backs. people are losing everything.

hotels are still operating. hotels are still operating. they are not the ones offering shelters or housing or food. even bowling alleys are offering shelter, but hotels have the audacity to build on burial sites but not open their doors to local families who have lost everything.

1. the room thing where you open the door, stare at your sibling for like a minute, they ask what the fuck are you doing ? and then leave. but leaving the door open to inconvenience them

2. dumb lies to each other, my older sister and i will gang up on our younger sister and try to convince her of random stuff that happened.

3. lie together! we all band together to lie to our parents <33 about dumb stuff or serious stuff

4. steal clothes

5. threaten each other with the nearest object. better if object is a food

6. be honest. like mean honest. like stuff you’d never say to your friends… stuff that would ruin friendships. the meanest shit tbh and then after you say it: laugh

7. hate on their friends. cuz sometimes they have awful friends and i need them to know that i don’t like their friend

8. fight over food related things. ex. theres only enough milk for one glass, theres only one strawberry left, there arent any marshmallows in the lucky charms… stuff like that

9. when they annoy you steal a random item for like two weeks and then put it back where you stole it from just to fuck with them but never tell them you stole it so they just think they’re stupid

19. when our parents are being unfair to one us and the others stand up for us… alternatively tho the betrayal of when my parents argue with me and my sisters side with them

20. arguing about whos the favorite child. me saying, “its probably not me” and them immediately agreeing

21. second hand therapy from our older sister who goes to therapy and shes like yeah so my therapist and i talked about this and i also felt like you guys would benefit bc its about mom and dad and then revealing some random trauma we all forgot about and being like yeah that was fucked up !
